The wait for the new iPhone is over! Apple launched a new series of iPhones from their arsenal – the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max. Amid endless speculations and rumors (some of which turned out to be true) Tim Cook and the company has made sure to reward their existing customers with fresh upgrades and rope in new customers to experience premium features at affordable prices. Here is everything you need to know about the unmissable features and tech specifications of the brand new iPhones:

Design and display

Apple hasn’t made any major changes to the iPhone 11 design. While the iPhone 11 has a chunkier chassis, the iPhone 11 Pro has a chunkier border around its Super Retina XDR OLED display. The phone makers have steered away from big displays to make the phones more ergonomic. The iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max have a screen size of 6.1”, 5.8”, and 6.5” and a pixel resolution of 1792 X 828, 2436 X 1125, and 2688 X 1242 pixels respectively. While the iPhone 11 has a Liquid Retina HD display, the Pro and Pro Max variants don the much talked about Super Retina XDR display which has a behemoth of 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio, and up to 1200 nits max brightness in HDR. Talk about immersive gaming and movie experience. However, Apple has decided to retain the iPhone XR display specifications with the iPhone 11 to cut manufacturing costs.

Camera

There were numerous social media leaks and pre-press releases that speculated the iPhone 11’s camera specifications and appearance. Apple put all those rumors to rest by introducing a dual-camera system in the iPhone 11 and the much-hyped triple camera system in the Pro and Pro Max. While the iPhone 11 has a 12MP Ultra Wide and Wide camera lens, the Pro and Pro Max have an extra Telephoto lens to give depth to your photographs. All three phones have a 12MP front camera with advanced bokeh and Depth Control. With up to 5x digital zoom, the iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max cameras come with six effects including the night mode that lets you click the best photos in the dimmest ambiances. The front camera also lets the Face ID perform a 3D scan letting you unlock your phone even from a tilted angle.

The highlight of the camera specifications is the ‘slo-mo’ video recording with the front cameras that allow 1080p slow-motion video recording at 120fps. Apart from this, you can also click 8MP still photos while recording 4K videos.

Technical specifications

The iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max pack the brand-new Apple’s A13 Bionic chip and third-generation Neural Engine, which the company dubs as the most powerful processor yet. To make you understand the power of the new chipset, the A13 Bionic can do 1 trillion operations per second with help of 8.5 billion transistors. This is 1.6 billion more than its predecessor – the A12 Bionic chipset. The highly efficient A13 Bionic chip when combined with a lithium-ion battery ensures that the iPhone 11 will run an hour longer than the iPhone XR; Pro will last four hours longer compared to iPhone XS and Pro Max will run five hours longer than the iPhone XS Max. The iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max allow up to 20 hours of video and 80 hours of audio playback on a single charge. Apple is finally providing the 18W adapter which claims to charge the phone up to 50% in 30 minutes. However, it comes in the box only with Pro and Pro Max. You also get an upgraded iOS 13 with iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max. Apple claims that the OS is packed with powerful and security-rich features designed to protect your privacy. The phones have a dual-sim slot which supports nano-SIM and eSIM. The new iPhones support wireless charging and even work with Qi chargers. However, Apple has decided to hold back the reverse charging, as it was one of the most anticipated features of the iPhone 11. All the phones are IP68 rated. Apple’s official website claims that iPhone 11 can function underwater in two meters of depth for 30 minutes, whereas Pro and Pro Max are waterproof at a maximum depth of four meters for 30 minutes.
